Sautéed Turnips and Red Peppers

Raw turnips have a pleasantly bitter bite like radishes, but sautéed they are delectably sweet.

Recipe information

  • Yield

    4 to 6 servings

Ingredients

1 1/2 tablespoons light olive oil
3 to 4 medium turnips, cut into 1/2-inch-thick rounds, peeled and sliced into strips

2 to 3 tablespoons minced parsley, dill, or scallion
1 cup green sprouts (such as baby pea shoots), optional
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
