Garlic Shrimp

This easy and show-stopping dish has a little zip to it and will add life to the party. If you don’t like spicy food, you can cut down on the red pepper. This tapa should be cooked at the last minute and served hot. The shrimp cook so fast that you can finish it in less than 5 minutes and it will fill your apartment with mouthwatering aromas.

Ingredients

4 garlic cloves
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 pound medium, peeled and deveined raw shrimp
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Peel the garlic, finely chop, and place in a large sauté pan with the oil and red pepper flakes. Cook over medium-high heat for 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and lemon juice and cook, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes, until the shrimp turn pink and curl slightly. Place the shrimp on a plate and serve immediately with toothpicks on the side.
